Information you give us. When you request a quote, open an account, schedule service, or contact us, we collect information such as your name, service and billing address, phone number, email address, and details about your property, tank, and equipment.

Payment information. When you pay by card or set up automatic payments, payment details are collected and processed by our billing and payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our website.

Account and service information. We keep records of your deliveries, service visits, tank monitoring readings, invoices, payments, and account balance.

Website information. When you visit connpropane.com, we may automatically collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide propane delivery, equipment, installation, and service
Schedule deliveries and service appointments
Send account notifications, including delivery and balance notifications
Process payments and manage billing
Respond to your questions and requests
Meet safety, regulatory, and legal obligations

Text messages and mobile information

If you provide your mobile number and agree to receive text messages from us, we may send you account-related text messages, including delivery notifications and balance reminders.

Message frequency: You may receive up to approximately 5 messages per month. Frequency varies based on your account activity.
Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
Opting out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation and will not receive further texts unless you opt back in.

Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to receive text messages in order to buy propane or receive service from us.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories described in "How we share information" below exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Opting out of text messages does not stop us from contacting you by phone, email, or mail about your account.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

Service providers who work on our behalf, such as billing and payment processors, delivery and routing systems, email and messaging providers, and IT vendors. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us.
Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, regulation, subpoena, or court order, or when necessary to protect the safety of people or property.
Business transfers, if CPP is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
With your direction, such as when you ask us to share tank readings or account information with your attorney, realtor, landlord, or the new owner of a property.

As stated above, text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Email communications

You agree that we may use email to send you notices and communications regarding your account and service agreement. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails; account and service notices will still be sent.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and afterwards as needed to meet legal, tax, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
